Football Recap: Southwest EC Comes Up Short

Southwest EC was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 12-7 heartbreaker at the hands of the Holtville Vikings. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, with their most recent defeat being a 26-0 loss back in August.

Southwest EC's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Holtville, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 5-8.

Southwest EC has already played their next match, an 18-14 victory against Central on the 15th. As for Holtville, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 39-0 loss against Brawley on the 15th.
