Softball Recap: Technology Takes a Loss

Technology was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 33-2 to the Calistoga Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-2 back in March.

Technology saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Seraphima Khoury, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI. Maliea Deniz also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Technology's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Calistoga, their win ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Technology will head out to challenge Credo at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Titans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Gryphon have averaged an impressive 7.8 runs per game this season. As for Calistoga, they are taking a road trip to square off against Tomales at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Braves will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight.
