Softball Recap: Nelson County Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Nelson County can now relate to. They lost 14-7 to the Liberty Minuteman on Tuesday.

Nelson County's defeat dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Liberty, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-13.

Nelson County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Liberty, they will take on Appomattox County at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Minuteman's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Raiders have averaged an impressive 10.5 runs per game this season.
