Independence's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 5-10-2. As for Highland, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5-7.

Independence wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 5-0 victory against Bakersfield Christian on the 21st. As for Highland, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 win against Frontier on the 21st.
