It was a good run, but Independence unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 55-47 to the Meade County Green Waves.

Peyton Bradley was her usual excellent self, going 7 for 17 on her way to 27 points and three steals for Meade County. The match was Bradley's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Kaylee Rider was another key player, putting up five points.

Independence's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Meade County, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-4.

It'll be Battle of the Birds when the Independence Eagles duke it out with the Cane Ridge Ravens at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Meade County, they will take on Corydon Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meade County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.8 points per game this season.
