Basketball Recap: Eddie Riebe's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Heritage Christian over Madison West

If Heritage Christian was riding high fresh off their 81-44 takedown of Holy Redeemer last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Heritage Christian Patriots fell 92-79 to the Madison West Regents on Friday.

Heritage Christian lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Eddie Riebe, who went 7 of 12 en route to 17 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Marcus Seroyer, who posted 14 points.

Heritage Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Madison West, their victory bumped their record up to 2-6.

The future could be bright for both Heritage Christian and Madison West: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Heritage Christian will try to hand Catholic Central their seventh-straight loss when the two meet at 6:15 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Meanwhile, Madison West will try to hand Janesville Parker their ninth-straight defeat when the two meet at 7:15 p.m. on January 9, 2025.
