Woodlake is 7-2 against Orange Cove since March of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Woodlake Tigers will challenge the Orange Cove Titans at 6:30 p.m. Woodlake is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season.

Woodlake is headed into the matchup having just posted their closest win since May 1, 2024 on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-5 victory over Corcoran. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Guillermo Rosales made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out nine batters over six innings while giving up five earned runs off four hits. Rosales was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, Brenden Doyle and David Flores did most of the damage at the plate: Doyle scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances, while Flores scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Flores is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Jose Tadeo also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Meanwhile, Orange Cove came up short against Legacy Christian Academy on Tuesday and fell 5-1. That's two games in a row now that the Titans have lost by exactly four runs.

The win got Woodlake back to even at 2-2. As for Orange Cove, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.

Woodlake was able to grind out a solid victory over Orange Cove in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, winning 6-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Woodlake since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
