Wyoming took a 12-run loss the last time they faced off against Covenant Christian, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Wolves had just enough and edged out the Chargers 2-1 on Thursday. This was a revenge game for the Wolves: when they faced off against the Chargers on Thursday, they had to take a 14-2 defeat.

Teagyn Ager spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on eight hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Danika Rawls was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.

Wyoming's win ended a 13-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 8-20. As for Covenant Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-7 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wyoming will host West Ottawa at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Covenant Christian, they will challenge Lowell at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
