Softball Recap: Monrovia Has No Trouble Against Pasadena

On Tuesday, everything went the Monrovia Wildcats's way against the Pasadena Bulldogs as the Monrovia Wildcats made off with a 24-7 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wildcats.

Leilanni Ortega looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

At the plate, Mikalah Ortega was a standout: she scored three runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Maeve Quiles, who scored three runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Monrovia always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .698. They are 2-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

The victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-5. As for Pasadena, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Looking ahead, Monrovia will head out to challenge Arcadia at 3:30 p.m. on March 12th. As for Pasadena, they will be playing at home against Maranatha at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Pasadena is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.7 runs per game this season.
