Football Recap: Gray Collegiate Academy Picks Up Eighth Consecutive Win

With a playoff win on the line, Gray Collegiate Academy rose to the challenge on Friday. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 63-7 win over the Brookland-Cayce Bearcats. The War Eagles' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Trevon Williamson was his usual excellent self, rushing for 222 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 10.1 yards per carry. He has been hot, having posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last five times he's played. Royce Williamson was in the mix as well, providing Gray Collegiate Academy with two TDs.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Gray Collegiate Academy was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 358 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

The victory was the eighth in a row for Gray Collegiate Academy, bringing their record up to 9-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.1 points over those games. As for Brookland-Cayce, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8.
