Preview: Ballard Bruins vs. Whitefield Academy Wildcats
The Ballard Bruins will be playing at home against the Whitefield Academy Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
Ballard pushed their score all the way to 55 last Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 68-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of Christian Academy-Louisville. Ballard has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, Whitefield Academy had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 36.5 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Saturday. They secured a 41-37 W over Conner.
Noel Smith continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 13 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Sara Ritter, who scored ten points.
Ballard has not been sharp recently as the team has lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-9 record this season. As for Whitefield Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season.
