Peach County took down Henry County 51-30 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Central made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 10,981 from 11,198. The advance stemmed from a 28-12 victory over Southwest last week.
Tyree White was a key player and the best on defense this week as the Patriots fell to the Chargers. The 5-foot-10 junior grabbed 1 interception.
De'Eric Bell put up the best numbers through the air as Jackson lost to Pike County. He finished with a total of 3 completions for 37 yards and 1 touchdown.
Leading AAA Region 2 in both passing and receiving yards, the Trojans' Greg Williams and Tyler Gibson have proven to be a lethal combination. Williams has thrown for 942 yards this season, while Gibson has 24 catches for 456 yards. Bell from the Red Devils leads the league in rushing with 440 yards.
Fans will be treated to a premier battle in the secondary when Peach County's Gibson goes up against Jackson's Bell.
One of the league's premier quarterbacks will go head-to-head with its top pass rusher when Chad Campbell's team and Dary Myricks' team face off next week.
Next week's game between the Trojans and the Red Devils will feature a good passing match up as Williams will test his arm against Bell's defensive ability.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Carver takes on the Warhawks. The Tigers are currently in first, while Henry County is in fifth.
Peach County led AAA Region 2 in scoring this week after putting up 51 points on Joseph Dupree's team.
