Softball Recap: Wilson Hall Barons vs. Hammond Skyhawks        
        
		
            
 Wilson Hall was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight  loss. They fell just short of the Hammond Skyhawks by a score of  7-6. Wilson Hall was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Hammond apparently hadn't forgotten their  defeat the last time these teams played  back in April.
 For Hammond's part,  Grace Beacham was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she  pitched seven innings while giving up  six earned runs off   ten  hits. Beacham has been consistent recently: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in 12 consecutive pitching appearances. Beacham was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run while going 1-for-3.
 In other batting news,  Madge Miller was  incredible,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was  Sadie Meacham, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 1-for-3.
 Wilson Hall's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Hammond, they have  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won eight of their last nine contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 16-3-1 record  this season.
 Wilson Hall will square off against Hammond at 1:00  p.m.  on Saturday. Hammond is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.4  runs per game  this season. As for they, they will face off against Laurence Manning Academy at 9:00  a.m.  on Saturday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Laurence Manning Academy comes in on five and Hammond on three.
