Crossroads Christian fell victim to Oxford Prep and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Griffins, falling 7-0. It was the first time this season that the Colts let down their fans at home.

Crossroads Christian saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ben Adcock, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Crossroads Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Oxford Prep, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-2.

Crossroads Christian and Oxford Prep should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings. The Colts (ranked 156th) will meet Pungo Christian Academy (ranked 334th) at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Oxford Prep will square off against Falls Lake at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday with a big rank advantage (121 vs. 296).
