Basketball Recap: Metro-East Lutheran Takes a Loss

Metro-East Lutheran lost against Maryville Christian back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Metro-East Lutheran Knights took a 38-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Maryville Christian Lions. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Metro-East Lutheran still got an impressive performance from Isabelle McLeod, who went 5 for 11 en route to 10 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Emily Kober, who posted three points and seven rebounds.

Metro-East Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Maryville Christian, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-11.

Metro-East Lutheran will face off against Murphysboro at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Maryville Christian, they and New Berlin/Franklin/Waverly will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played.
