Basketball Game Preview: Holland Dutch vs. Grand Haven Buccaneers

The Holland Dutch will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against the Grand Haven Buccaneers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Holland is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering West Ottawa just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 58-47 to the Panthers.

Meanwhile, Grand Haven waltzed into their match on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. In a tight game that could have gone either way, they made off with a 50-49 win over the Lakers. The 50-point effort marked the Buccaneers' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Holland's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Grand Haven, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.

Holland was able to grind out a solid win over Grand Haven in their previous matchup back in February of 2015, winning 67-60. The rematch might be a little tougher for Holland since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
