Grace Christian School proved they can win big  on Tuesday (they won by 17) and  on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a  victory as the  team sidled past the Christchurch School Seahorses  5-3. The  win was familiar territory for the Kings, who have now won eight  matches in a row.
 Trevor Lucy was a  major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. Lucy was also solid in the batter's box,  going a perfect 1-for-1 with two  RBI and one  double. Those  two  RBI gave  him a new career-high.
 In other batting news,  Ben Best was  excellent,  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances with one  run and one  double.  Andrew Whittington was another key player,  going 2-for-4 with one  run and one  double.
Grace Christian School pushed their record up to 14-4 with the  victory, which was their fourth straight  on the road. Those  road  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 13.5 runs over those games. As for Christchurch School, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record  this season.
 Grace Christian School will take on The Carmel School at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The Wildcats will roll in looking for their  fourth straight  victory, something the Kings surely won't give up without a fight. As for Christchurch School, they will face off against Peninsula Catholic at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. The Seahorses are facing the Knights at the right time seeing as the Knights are stuck on  a  five-game losing streak.
