Volleyball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Rouse

Rouse waltzed into their matchup on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Lehman Lobos. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Rouse took every set by at least 11 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-14, 25-14.

Avery Ralston paced Rouse's offense, picking up 14 kills. Ralston got some help from Isla Ornelas and her 13 assists. Ornelas was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Rouse's victory bumped their record up to 25-18. As for Lehman, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-23.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Rouse is set to take on their familiar foe Hays at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Lehman will challenge rival Liberty Hill at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
