It's playoff time, and East Marion had no trouble coming through when it counted. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, they made off with a 59-58 victory over the Leland Cubs. The win was familiar territory for the Eagles who have now won six matches in a row.

East Marion pushed their record up to 13-9 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.2 points over those games. As for Leland, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 4-20 record this season.

Looking ahead, East Marion will take on Taylorsville at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. East Marion knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully Taylorsville likes a good challenge. Leland does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
