Basketball Recap: EPIC Academy Sets Scoring Season-High Against Hirsch

EPIC Academy scored the most points they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 67-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hirsch Huskies. The The Legends were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Huskies apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.

Despite the loss, EPIC Academy still got an impressive performance from Antwan Donley, who posted 22 points. Abel Kirkwood was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Isiah Ramos continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Hirsch, almost dropping a double-double on 33 points and nine boards. That makes it three consecutive games in which Ramos has scored at least a third of Hirsch's points.

EPIC Academy is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7. As for Hirsch, they moved to 2-5 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

EPIC Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Amandla Charter School at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hirsch, they will venture away from home to challenge Bowen at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hirsch has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
