Preview: Kentucky Country Day Bearcats vs. Western Warriors
The Kentucky Country Day Bearcats will head out on the road to face off against the Western Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Last Friday, Kentucky Country Day was beaten by Highlands Latin 44-15.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Western, who are still winless after their fourth contest. They took a serious blow against North Oldham on Friday, falling 71-28. Western was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-15.
Despite the loss, Western had strong showings from Aubryonna Durrah, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 16 rebounds, and Sequoia Cochran, who scored eight points. Cochran is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season.
Kentucky Country Day's loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-2. As for Western, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.
Kentucky Country Day came out on top in a nail-biter against Western when the teams last played back in February of 2021, sneaking past 38-35. Will Kentucky Country Day repeat their success, or does Western have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
