Baseball Recap: Legion Collegiate Academy Find Success

Legion Collegiate Academy proved they can win big on Saturday (they won by seven) and on Sunday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the West Ashley Wildcats, sneaking past 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Lancers have posted since April 4, 2024.

Briggs Lee looked comfortable as he pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, Legion Collegiate Academy's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Hudson Riordan, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Legion Collegiate Academy's win bumped their record up to 3-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Legion Collegiate Academy will head out to challenge Covenant Day at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Legion Collegiate Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.8 runs per game this season. West Ashley will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Hanahan at 6:30 p.m. on March 17th.
