Football Recap: Hackley Hornets vs. The Pingry School Big Blue
Hackley put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against The Pingry School Big Blue by a score of 22-14. For the Hornets, this counts as revenge for the 15-6 loss the Big Blue walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2017.
The Pingry School lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Ryan Moye, who threw for 179 yards and two touchdowns. A healthy portion of that aerial production (81 yards to be exact) went to Jack Moye, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.
Hackley pushed their record up to 3-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for The Pingry School, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Hackley will square off against Rye Country Day at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are at an even 3-3 against one another since September of 2018, but likely not for long. As for The Pingry School, they will venture away from home to square off against Morristown-Beard at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.
