Basketball Recap: Beaverhead County Extends Winning Streak to 19

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Beaverhead County walked away with it. They put the hurt on the East Helena Vigilantes with a sharp 70-50 victory on Thursday. The win was familiar territory for the Beavers, who have now won 19 matchups in a row.

Beaverhead County had a senior duo take command as Kyler Engellant dropped a double-double with 23 points and 13 boards and Carter Curnow shot 53% from the field en route to 23 points along with five assists and five rebounds. With that strong performance, Curnow is now averaging an impressive 15.3 points per game. Another player making a difference was Sam Davis, who posted eight points.

Beaverhead County's victory bumped their record up to 21-1. As for East Helena, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-10 record this season.
