Baseball Recap: Centennial Comes Up Short

Centennial came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the King's Ridge Christian Tigers, falling 16-5.

Carlos Marquez made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Chen, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Marquez wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Centennial kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Centennial's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for King's Ridge Christian, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-3.

Looking ahead, Centennial will venture away from home to face off against Dunwoody at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for King's Ridge Christian, they will welcome Paideia at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
