Volleyball Recap: Bellflower Wins Going Away Against Paramount

After losing to Paramount the last time they met, Bellflower decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Bellflower Buccaneers blew past the Paramount Pirates 3-0 on Thursday.

While Bellflower might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Paramount scored at least 21 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-22, 25-22.

Bellflower's offense was headlined by Geovanny Sanchez and Johan Canedo, who picked up 12 kills apiece. They got some help from Aydan Flores and his 26 assists. Sanchez was also solid from the service line: he led the team with five aces.

Bellflower's win bumped their record up to 11-7. As for Paramount, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.

Bellflower will be playing at home against Warren at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Paramount, they will venture away from home to take on Downey at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
