Northview waltzed into their matchup on Monday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They walked away with a 59-49 victory over the Monroe Trojans. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 46th in Ohio, while the Trojans are ranked 160th in Michigan), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Northview's win was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-2. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.4 points over those games. As for Monroe, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northview will challenge Anthony Wayne at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Anthony Wayne's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Monroe, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lincoln at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
