Baseball Recap: Lennard Longhorns vs. Alonso Ravens
Lennard lost against Alonso back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Lennard Longhorns fell 7-3 to the Alonso Ravens. The Longhorns have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Lennard got a good showing from Jv Brennick, who pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. Brennick has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Lennard saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mikie Locke, who went 2-for-4 with one double.
Lennard's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Alonso, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lennard will take on Sumner at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Alonso, they will face off against Strawberry Crest at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Alonso's pitching crew has only allowed 2.5 runs per game this season, so Strawberry Crest's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
