Volleyball Recap: Carver High School of Engineering & Science Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Carver High School of Engineering & Science can now relate to. They fell just short of the Academy at Palumbo Griffin by a score of 3-2 on Monday. While Carver High School of Engineering & Science didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating Academy at Palumbo 25-19 in the first set.

Carver High School of Engineering & Science actually scored more points across those five sets (112-103), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 19-25, 27-25, 15-25, 27-25, 15-12.

Among those leading the charge was Jonas Milson, who had 15 digs and three aces. That's the most digs he has posted since back in April. Yinle Chen also deserves some recognition as he had his first block of the season.

Carver High School of Engineering & Science's loss dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Academy at Palumbo, the victory got them back to even at 10-10.

Carver High School of Engineering & Science does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Academy at Palumbo, they will square off against Northeast at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as the Griffin come in on three and the Vikings on nine.
