Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Johnson). They claimed a resounding 103-69 victory over the Washington Tech Eagles. Given the Governors' advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 81st, while the Eagles are ranked 279th), the result on Tuesday wasn't entirely unexpected.

The win was the third in a row for Johnson, bringing their record for this year to 9-4. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 78.7 points per game. As for Washington Tech, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Johnson will challenge Como Park at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Johnson is facing Como Park at the right time seeing as Como Park is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Washington Tech, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Washington Tech Eagles duke it out with the Humboldt Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Humboldt's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight games.
