Softball Recap: Madison County Comes Up Short

Madison County was the 10-8 winner over Plainview when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. Madison County fell 7-4 to Plainview on Tuesday. That's two games in a row now that the Tigers have lost by exactly three runs.

Sydney Gurley was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Addy Gustafson also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Madison County dropped their record down to 11-7 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Plainview, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 5-0.

Madison County has already played their next game, a 6-5 win against Lawrence County on the 20th. As for Plainview, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 4-0 victory against Boyd-Buchanan on the 21st.
