Football Game Preview: Coahoma County Red Panthers vs. Noxubee County Tigers + Official Tickets

Coahoma County is on a three-game streak of home wins, while Noxubee County is on an eight-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season): one of those streaks is about to end. The Red Panthers will square off against the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Coahoma County is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They breezed past Alcorn Central to the tune of 50-7.

Coahoma County found their leader in sophomore Radarius Crawford, who rushed for 80 yards and one TD.all of that, rushing production came thanks to one massive run Arsenio Hunter also helped with two scores in total.

Coahoma County was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 273 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in September of 2024.

Coahoma County didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. Jamarrius Johnson picked up that interception and then proceeded to rub salt in the wound by taking it back the other way for a touchdown. He got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Noxubee County faced off against Yazoo County on Friday. The Tigers put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 41-15 win. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi football rankings (they are ranked 41st, while the Panthers are ranked 180th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Noxubee County found their leader in sophomore BJ Payton, who forced one fumble and made 15 total tackles (1.0 for loss).

Noxubee County's record is now 8-3. As for Coahoma County, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.
