Prospect Ridge Academy waltzed into their match on Thursday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over The Academy Wildcats. For the Miners, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 win the Wildcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Prospect Ridge Academy had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 29-31, 25-23, 25-15, 32-30.

The Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Honor Montoya and Jaelyn Farmer. Montoya had 16 digs and two assists, while Farmer had 15 digs and six kills. Farmer is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last six games she's played.

Prospect Ridge Academy's victory bumped their record up to 13-1. As for The Academy, they dropped their record down to 5-10 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.
