Softball Recap: Saguaro Takes a Loss

Saguaro lost against Desert Mountain back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Sabercats fell just short of the Wolves by a score of 5-4.

Sophia Chouinard made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Saguaro has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-13 record this season. As for Desert Mountain, the victory (which was their 17th in a row) raised their record to 20-1-1.

Coming up, Saguaro will square off against Marcos de Niza at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Sabercats are facing the Padres at the right time seeing as the Padres are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Desert Mountain, they will take on Arizona College Prep at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Knights will roll in looking for their 19th straight win, something the Wolves surely won't give up without a fight.
