Volleyball Recap: Concord Christian's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Eight

Concord Christian waltzed into their matchup on Friday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They blew past the Tri-Cities Christian Eagles 3-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 last Tuesday.

One reason for the win was Concord Christian's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-14, 25-13.

Leading Concord Christian to victory were Katelyn Stooksbury and Piper Haun. Stooksbury had 13 digs and three aces, while Haun had eight digs. Stooksbury is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last five games she's played.

They weren't the only good server: Concord Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Tri-Cities Christian only served two aces.

Concord Christian's record now sits at 9-4. As for Tri-Cities Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season.

Concord Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-2 win against Chattanooga Christian on the 6th. As for Tri-Cities Christian, they will challenge Sullivan East at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
