Volleyball Recap: Hortonville Comes Up Short

The Hortonville Polar Bears came up short against the Appleton North Lightning on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Polar Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hortonville was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-11, 25-22.

Hortonville's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Appleton North, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Hortonville is set to challenge their familiar foe Kimberly at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Appleton North will take on rival Neenah at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
