Recap: MTI School of Knowledge vs. KIPP Legacy Lions
MTI School of Knowledge managed to keep up with the KIPP Legacy Lions until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. MTI School of Knowledge ended up on the wrong side of a rough 60-36 walloping at the hands of KIPP Legacy. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for MTI School of Knowledge in their matchups with KIPP Legacy: they've now lost four in a row.
It was another big night for Nick Mapp, who scored 31 points along with six assists and six rebounds for KIPP Legacy. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Mapp has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Se'Maj Moore, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and four steals.
MTI School of Knowledge dropped their record down to 2-8 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for KIPP Legacy, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-6.
MTI School of Knowledge will head out on the road to face off against Central Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Central Christian Academy comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for KIPP Legacy, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Horizon Christian at 7:30 p.m. Horizon Christian is coming into the contest hot, having won their last nine games.
