Perry had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.1 runs) and they went ahead and made it nine on Friday. Everything went their way against the Harvey Red Raiders as they made off with a 13-3 win. Considering the Pirates have won eight games by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Perry's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-3. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Harvey, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.

Perry wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 13-2 victory against South on the 10th. Harvey does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
