Preview: Everton Tigers vs. Hurley Tigers
Everton is on a 22-game streak of home losses (dating back to last season), Hurley a nine-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. The Everton Tigers will take on the Hurley Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
Last Monday, Everton was beaten by McAuley Catholic 62-29.
Despite their defeat, Everton saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Josh Daniels, who scored six points along with 12 rebounds and six steals, was perhaps the best of all. Daniels hasn't dropped below two steals for 17 straight games.
Meanwhile, Hurley came up short against Verona last Tuesday and fell 58-49.
Everton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-22. As for Hurley, their loss dropped their record down to 2-15.
Things could have been worse for Everton, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 65-47 loss to Hurley when the teams last played back in November of 2023. Can Everton avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
