Football Game Recap: Holland vs. Thorndale

Holland won the last time they met up with Thorndale, and they shouldn't regret having come to the reunion, either. Holland won a matchup that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by Thorndale 21-20.

It took a quarter to shake off the cobwebs, but after zero first-quarter points, the Holland offense picked up 14 points in the second quarter. Thorndale wasn't quite able to keep up, scoring 12 to make it 14-12 heading into the break. Holland almost let the game get away from them in the second half, but they had just enough oomph to take it. The win bumped their record up to 5-1. The defeat dropped Thorndale's record to 3-1.

Holland will be playing at home against Marlin at at 7:30 PM next week. Marlin are limping into the match on a five-game losing streak. As for Thorndale, they will face off against Thrall. Both of those teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
