Elkin has gone 8-1-1 against Alleghany recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Buckin' Elks will look to defend their home pitch against the Trojans at 5:30 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Elkin is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Forbush just ended the team's seven-game winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 2-1. The contest was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but Elkin couldn't quite close it out.

Meanwhile, Alleghany fell victim to North Stokes and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vikings. That's two games in a row now that Alleghany have lost by exactly two goals.

Alleghany has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-9-1 record this season. As for Elkin, their loss dropped their record down to 8-4-1.

Elkin came out on top in a nail-biter against Alleghany when the teams last played back in March, sneaking past 1-0. Will the Buckin' Elks repeat their success, or do the Trojans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
