Baseball Recap: San Marcos Comes Up Short

San Marcos's tournament run continued when they took on West Ranch on Wednesday. The Royals took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats. The Royals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

San Marcos saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Landon Johnson, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI.

San Marcos' defeat dropped their record down to 6-16. As for West Ranch, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.

San Marcos didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 5-4 loss against Torrance on the 19th. As for West Ranch, they have also already played their next game, a 3-2 defeat against Granada Hills Charter on the 17th.
