Softball Recap: Winnebago Lutheran Academy Takes a Loss

Winnebago Lutheran Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Campbellsport Cougars. If the Vikings were looking for revenge after losing 4-2 to the Cougars when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Addyson Suprenand was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI. That RBI marked the first that she has brought in this season. Keyanna Rank was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one double.

Winnebago Lutheran Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Campbellsport, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-5.

Looking ahead, Winnebago Lutheran Academy will head out to take on Howards Grove at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Campbellsport, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against North Fond du Lac at 5:00 p.m.
