The Rockford Auburn Knights will challenge the Winnebago Indians at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Rockford Auburn is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.7 runs per game this season.
Rockford Auburn will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up two runs on Thursday, then bounced right back against Freeport on Friday. The Knights were the clear victors by a 10-3 margin over the Pretzels. The result was nothing new for the Knights, who have now won six games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Maylee Baker spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on ten hits and racked up ten Ks. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.2 strikeouts per game.
At the plate, KayKay Hudson and Lily Parr did most of the damage at the plate: Hudson got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four runs, one triple, and one stolen base, while Parr went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most doubles Parr has posted since April 3rd. Another player making a difference was Natalee Jasso, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Meanwhile, Winnebago didn't have quite enough to beat Rock Falls on Thursday and fell 3-2. The Indians haven't had much luck with the Rockets recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.
Winnebago saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Grace Corl, who went 2-for-3 with one run.
Winnebago's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Rockford Auburn, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-4.
Winnebago's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Rockford Auburn has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.2 hits per game. It's a different story for Winnebago, though, as they've been averaging 9 hits. Given Rockford Auburn's sizable advantage in that area, the Indians will need to find a way to close that gap.
