Baseball Recap: Republic County Takes a Loss

Republic County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They lost 11-0 to the Lyons Lions. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-1 on Thursday.

Republic County saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aden Morris, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Republic County's loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Lyons, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Republic County will face off against Sacred Heart at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Lyons, they will square off against Minneapolis on Thursday.
