Softball Preview: Carbon Dinos vs. Richfield Wildcats

Carbon is a perfect 10-0 against Richfield since March of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Dinos will take on the Wildcats at 3:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Tuesday, Carbon made easy work of Juab and carried off a 14-3 victory. The game marked the Dinos' most dominant win of the season.

Danica Adams made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out 12 batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one triple. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Aleece Ardohain, who went 3-for-5 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Alexa Jones, who went 1-for-4 with three runs and two RBI.

Richfield's record is now 8-13. As for Carbon, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-14.
