Baseball Game Preview: Loomis Chaffee School Pelicans vs. Hotchkiss School Bearcats

The Loomis Chaffee School Pelicans will square off against the Hotchkiss School Bearcats at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Loomis Chaffee School's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Kingswood Oxford 1-0. Those one runs were actually the fewest the Pelicans have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Meanwhile, Hotchkiss School fell victim to Trinity-Pawling School and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 6-0 to the Pride. The Bearcats haven't had much luck with the Pride recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Hotchkiss School's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Loomis Chaffee School, the win got them back to even at 8-8.
