Soccer Recap: New Life Camp Beats Gate City for Their Third Straight Victory

New Life Camp proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by nine) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Gate City Guardians 3-2. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but New Life Camp were the better team in the second half.

They hit Gate City with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Aaron Burr, Devin Flowers, and Titus Creech.

The victory (which was New Life Camp's third in a row) raised their record to 6-3-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 16 goals over those three matchups. As for Gate City, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 1-5-1 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. New Life Camp will head out to take on Southwest Wake at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Gate City, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Varsity Opponent at 5:30 p.m. on the 30th.
