Football Game Preview: West Orange Warriors vs. West Port Wolf Pack + How To Watch

The West Orange Warriors will take on the West Port Wolf Pack at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. West Orange will be strutting in after a win while West Port will be coming in after a loss.

West Orange barely beat Apopka the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Warriors claimed a resounding 51-0 victory over the Blue Darters. Considering the Warriors have won four matchups by more than 23 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

West Orange got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Andrew Chung out in front who threw for 312 yards and five touchdowns on only 15 passes. Those five passing touchdowns gave Chung a new career-high. Jayden Ammons helped Chung out on the ground, rushing for 99 yards and one TD on only 11 carries, while also picking up 34 receiving yards and one score.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something West Orange proved: they limited Apopka to a paltry 2.2 yards per carry. While two picked up at least eight total tackles, Nolan Turner stood above the rest. He picked up a sack and made eight total tackles (3.0 for loss). West Orange's ground attack was stronger, having averaged 5.1.

West Orange's defense didn't let TJ Frazier, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for five sacks. Matheus Kaminski Cordeiro refused to say out of the backfield, picking up 1.5 sacks all by himself. West Orange got some further help from Turner: he picked up a sack and made eight total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for West Port's offense. They took a 13-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Fivay on Friday. The Wolf Pack have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The victory made it two in a row for West Orange and bumps their season record up to 5-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 0 points in those games. As for West Port, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.

Everything came up roses for West Orange against West Port in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 48-12 victory. Do the Warriors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wolf Pack turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
