Baseball Recap: Cathedral Fighting Irish vs. Herron Achaeans
It's playoff time, and Cathedral had no trouble coming through when it counted. They never let the Herron Achaeans get on the board and left with an 18-0 win on Saturday. The victory continues a trend for the Fighting Irish in their matchups with the Achaeans: they've now won four in a row.
Connor Christiansen made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since May 8th. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one triple and one run.
